Outreach
The Newbridge Outreach Support Team provides free behaviour management and SEMH support to Worcestershire based secondary schools. The team are experienced in supporting vulnerable pupils, with a variety of needs, who are struggling to engage in education. The Outreach Team travel to schools to work alongside staff and with pupils to promote positive outcomes for pupils at risk of permanent exclusion.
Our aims:
- To offer free support to improve outcomes for vulnerable pupils, at risk of permanent exclusion, to re-engage with education and remain in mainstream education where appropriate
- To provide free support for schools in gathering evidence for EHCP and other referrals to enable pupils to access appropriate provisions and settings.
- To provide free behaviour management support and CPD for staff
- To promote wellbeing for vulnerable students who are at risk of permanent exclusion
- To assess pupils for SEND and SEMH needs
What we offer:
- 1:1 pupil wellbeing and mentoring sessions
- Student observations with a signed report that can be used as evidence for EHCP and other referrals e.g. Umbrella Pathway
- Implementation of Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Level Descriptors to support in gathering evidence for the plan, do, review cycles for EHCPs and other referrals.
- Staff CPD in de-escalation and behaviour management delivered to whole staff teams
- We welcome staff into Newbridge School to observe our behaviour management and pastoral systems
- Support with positive behaviour management strategies that can be implemented within mainstream settings
- SENDCo support and advice
- SNAP assessment to identify SEND and SEMH needs and provide evidence towards referrals, including EHCPs.
